Even today at claimed 60% off, their price is what it used to be pre-discount price 6 months ago. In the last few months they jacked their prices by 2-3X and all the fake discounts have been bringing protein prices to just a bit. 11lb isolate @ 45% off used to be about $75 or so. Now with 60% discou...

Hello fellow RFDers, I am slowly selling off my digital photography equipment as I am really getting into using film and had a few questions on how I can protect myself. Essentially, I have a buyer interested in several thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Given the risk with such a transaction,...

Please advise. Toronto area. I need help. This is for use with the Alienware R8 deal I just bought as a gift. What kind of specs should I be looking for? I'm seeing HDMI might not be suitable. I'm an idiot and readily admit it. Please tell me what to buy. Thank you.

I bought a condo about 3 years ago for $288k. It is now selling for around $460k. I was looking at getting a townhouse out of the city for around $500k. My questions are, I got approved for a $320k mortgage in 2016, is there anyway I will be approved for the new $500k one if I port the mortgage to t...

I did some price comparisons and it seems like you can find some very nice condos in Gastown for under $1000 psqf.Mind you, the prices of condos don't seem to go down, it's just that Toronto is getting really expensive.

Last weekend, I went to a local car parts (Laval/Montréal) asking the price for a rear brake kit on my CRV 2014, they quoted me 200$ all-ins. The brand name is something very strange I never hear :-). I just make an order on RockAuto website: Premium: RAYBESTOS EHT1086H Element3; Hybrid Technology, ...

Not sure if this has been covered but this will affect any merchant accepting paypal. Essentially paypal is now keeping ALL the fees after a purchase is refunded (previously they only kept the 30cent fixed fee, now it's 2.9% + 30cents). This goes against the policies of most credit card processors t...

The plumber came over and gave me a quote of $800 (plus tax) for installing a garbage disposal under kitchen sink and changing a leaked U-shaped trap. Of course I wouldn’t accept it so he offered to leave out his company and do this with him privately around $600. I don’t feel comfortable to deal wi...

... there at Walmart. 3) Someone pointed this out to me on RFD the other day. Avoid buying windshield washer fluid at Costco. It's almost always more expensive than on sale at CDN tire. 4) Furnace Filters - 3M or not, it's ALWAYS cheaper to buy at furnacefilters.ca or elsewhere. Generally with the ...

Went to India for vacation and a new sim there costs about $5 for unlimited calling and 1.5gb/day for a month. One of my friends who works for Telus says it might be because Canada has a very small population spread far geographically but this still seems crazy expensive (almost 200x costlier).
