Hi, Is there a reason that HELOC is better than refinancing your mortgage as refinancing interest rates are lower than a HELOC? If I take the amount refinanced and put it into an investment account does this still count as leverage and allow me to deduct the interest from any gains in a non-register...

I've been mulling a car purchase for a while.. Have my eyes on the 2015 GTI with manual or DSG transmission, really seems like a great all around daily driver, but financing at 3.9% is tough. Does VW give any wiggle room to negotiation and do they have any promotions once in a while on the financing?
