Is there any software available that you can feed trading data from a broker, for example the excel file that comes from Questrade, and have the software calculate your gains and losses for the year, including gains and losses on short sales?

I had a rental property that i sold this year. I lived several years in it before. I never got an appraisal done when i changed it from residence to income producing. I want to use the FMV from the time the use was changed. What can I use if I didnt get an appraisal done at that time?

How much do you estimate your real estate assets to have appreciated as a percentage in 2019 from 2018. You can base it on a conservative estimate of comparables sold at end of 2019 or an appraisal done by a professional , or your educated guess based on market knowledge.

Using Studio Tax to prepare 2018 taxes. Required to split T5008 capital gains between two contributors but there is no percentage ownership box like there is on T3 forms.Can I just calculate the correct percentage owned and put on each tax form?Any suggestion would be appreciated.

HiI been for the last few years been using the "Canadian Portfolio Manager Modified Dietz Rate of Return Calculator" to track my gains for the year. I am not seeing it for the 2019 year. Does anyone else something else I can use to track my investment for the year and over all years.
