Garage Door Opener - a few questions

Not sure if there have been better deals of late, but it seems like a good savings to me, and the best deal available today / this weekend for a belt drive. garage door troubleshooting
... door (without the opener) can hold in position when you leave it in the middle and it does when I checked. So now I'm not if it's an issue with garage door opener or the torque spring (not sure if it's correct name) on the door. It's not a big issue because it'll stay open when it's up high ...

Anyone have any recommendations for GDO's? I have a 16x7 garage door and my bedroom is located above the garage so something quiet would be nice. What strength motor would be best and what are your opinions on brand?
