LOL. I was one of the early customers of ING Direct before they switched to Tangerine and I'm about to use my cheque #3. Do they still work?

Activating Tangerine Account from Old ING Direct Account

Is it possible to close Chequing Account?
I currentl bank with Scotiabank. I basically have a 1) Basic Banking Chequing Account, 2) RESP Family Savings Account, 3) Tax Free Savings Account, 4) Scene Visa Card, 5) AMEX Gold Card. I always have to keep a balance of over $2000 a month or else I will be charged a fee I think anywhere from $4-$9...

1)only first chq book is free. 2) your hold polcy really sucks. I did a transer on day one, (my hold limit is 5000), i go the money within 24 hrs relased. on day 2, i did another transfer 4990, i asked me to hold 7 days. so i thought maybe it is just my tax free account... so i did another transfer ...

Ally vs ING?
Which one is better? Ally current has 1.8% annual interest rate versus ING's 1.35%. I was wondering if it's worth the switch. For all the years that I've had ING, it's always been pleasant, so I'm not sure if it's worth the switch. Are there any other banks with higher interest rates?

As the title says. I still like ING DIRECT for its features and lack of fees, but this is mildly disappointing.
