... posts for the stair railings have a lip on them. I can't run the hardwood on top of the lip as it won't be flush with the subfloor. So thinking install the hardwood up to the lip and box out the post on top of the hardwood with sole small moulding? Any other ideas? Thanks 🙏

Are there rules. I could see people messing this up. Also, how do you install a large elec box ie dryer box. It seems too flimsy when attached toOne stud? I had to Jerry rig a structure using old door jam and drill new holes in box.
