  • how not to pay the mortgage discharge fee?

    On January 3 this year I made my last mortgage payment. I was just at the bank asking for a discharge letter and they told I have to pay a discharge fee. I looked it up and it looks like it's $200 (I'm with TD). Is there a way to get out of it?Thanks
