Is anyone able to confirm what the pipes in the attached pictures are for? I’m assuming the pipe with a 90 degree cap is for a basement sink drain? The blue cap one is possibly a toilet? I’m not sure about the others. A6F665C0-0966-4714-9B33-98BDC96FE780.jpeg C6E25AB7-A303-4476-87A2-B90D79048EB1.jpe...

Hi all, I moved into a new build freehold townhouse almost a year ago. 5 months in, I used the bath tub for the first time. After draining the bath tub, this lead to sewage shooting out of the basement floor drain. Very recently, I found out my next door neighbour had the same issue occur. I also sp...

Which company typically provide better services?Does the protection plan really cover everything about plumbing and leaking? The shower on the 2nd floor has damaged the ceiling of the main floor... If it's covered, would the plan cover restoration (dry wall, painting, etc.) as well? Thanks!!!

If you are in Toronto, please avoid Priority Plumbing at all costs. They took complete advantage of my 70 year old Mother, and charged her over $700 to fix 2 ball valves in a toilet, and during the COVID-19 crisis they wore absolutely NO protective ...

... to take down the drywall. All plumbers have been hesitant to do that, but I'm not. For the experienced plumbers out there, could a crack in the plumbing venting pipe beside the sewage ejector cause an intermittent smell or would it be constant?

Hi, I thought I’d try asking this question here since I’ve seen others get some good answers on here. I’m changing my basement laundry tub and when I pulled the old one out I noticed a clear 1/2” tube sticking out of the concrete. It doesn’t make sense that it would be a trap primer because there wa...

Hey everyone, I live in a condo and I have been an issue with black specks (almost grease like when smeared) appearing in the bathtub after use. It seems to happen mostly when the hot water is on. When it first happened, I thought the maybe it's because the water had been off during the day. So I tr...

Some of us who DIY are likely familiar with Lifetime warranty on popular plumbing brands. At least I thought I was. In my house my builder used nothing but Delta and it's been 14 years since the house was built. On Delta's Website the warranty states it covers ...

Our house was built in 2016, builder plan shows the basement has a 3pc rough in. There are 2 capped off black pipes coming up from the ground, one big (3-4"?) and one small (2?), and a small pipe that T off from a pipe that goes from the ground to the ceiling. (basically like this pic: https://...

Recently the taps in my house have been extra hot. I checked the hot water heater and it’s on the same setting. I used to know where warm was on the showers but now it has to be a quarter of a turn more into the cold water for it to be warm. The normal warm area is almost burning hot. Any ideas what...

Hey all. I’m a year and half into newer house (2017 build). Upon my recent roof walk, I noticed a black pipe coming through the roof. I’m assuming it’s the plumbing stack. The stack has a sealed cover, but I noticed my neighbours didn’t seem to have any covers. Should it be sealed?
