So Scotiabank withholds an incoming money transfer for a few days until the amount is released manually by someone at the branch. This really truly sucks. I'll change banks because of it. First time it was a transfer of over 50k and it took a week and a few phone calls. Second time it was over 25k a...

Not as good as the last 50% bonus transfer but still a welcome after no promotion for the last two years. Avios got slightly devalued a few days ago for short-haul flights on JL and CX but Avios still has many sweet spots like YVR/LAX/SEA to Tokyo on business for 77k points, or transferring from Avi...

... I know that RBC also has separate fees as well ($50 and $135), but since RBC has a brokerage, it would be different because you can do in asset transfers to other brokerages. I think Tangerine is the best example to use for my question, since they only offer mutual funds, and these are exclusive ...

I’m wondering if it’s possible to set up a re-occurring transfer between banks, without going through an online bank such as Simplii or Tangerine? I recently switched my mortgage to HSBC and I’m paying it from a HSBC account but my common law partner uses Scotiabank. Is there a way to set up a re-oc...
