I sent them an "contact us" to clarify terms of the two month offer. I advised they really should NOT REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD because I'm fearful they'll charge it and I gotta hoop it go get funds returned.

I'll post back to this thread when/if I hear from them.

Thanks for reaching out! Just so you know we have no direct affiliation with Life Hacker, they just profiled us and our subscription service requires a credit card in order to create the profile. That being said, if you would like to receive the free two month membership I'd be happy to alert you when you are coming near to the end of the trial so you can make a decision whether to keep your subscription or terminate it before you receive the charge. Totally up to you.

and c&p from their FAQ:

Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Of course! In your member account, you can change, pause or cancel your membership at any time. You can also upgrade or downgrade your membership levels. If you’re temporarily leaving town, you can simply pause your membership and restart it when ready.

So...it would seem they should not be charging you in the first two months. Make sure if you sign up to schedule yourself a reminder to cancel at some date before the two months is up.

I subscribed for the trial in February and had no issues with cc charges.
