Just had the worst experience trying to apply for this card.
A while ago I tried to open a chequing account with Tangerine, but gave up when I was asked to verify my identity at Canada Post. In order to apply for this card, I tried using my old credentials, but it doesn't work anymore, instead it prompts me to call them when I try to log in.
So that's what I did, but when the CSR pulled up my profile they couldn't see any information, therefore I got transferred to the security team. After more than an hour on hold, I was told that last time I had to go to Canada Post because there was something wrong with my credit report, and I have to call TransUnion to fix it.
There are two problems. First of all, I have a paid TransUnion subscription and can't find anything wrong with my credit report. Secondly, I am willing to go to Canada Post this time to verify my identity, all they needed to do was to delete my profile so I can start over (which their Twitter CSR insisted was possible), however on the phone they kept asking me to call TransUnion and trying to hang up on me when I was trying to explain the situation.
