Just a FYI for you students. This card requires a minimum $12K yearly income to apply.

Yep, same. After I got my Rogers World Elite my Tangerine card is basically backup. I just wish they would start supporting Apple pay.

2% cash back is still better than rogers bank's 1.75%. In terms of no annual fee credit cards, I don't think anything beats it.

Their acceptance criteria is just weird.
I make significantly more than $12k and was rejected.
I then applied for a different card from a different financial institution and got a frankly absurd credit limit on a premium card.

Tangerine 3 categories at 2% and Rogers ANY category 1.75%. Rogers wins.

I applied for the credit card a few years ago when I was a student with no income. My applicantion was accepted quickly and the credit limit was 8K.
