Best I can do was 2.5 for another 6 months upon calling it. They wanted to do 2.3% first but went up to 2.5%. I'm okay with that. I was at 2.75% for 6 months prior. I think bear HISA rate out thee is 2.8% at some credit union I never heard of.

This is probably an obvious question but I can't find the answer. Is this interest rate annual or monthly? In other words would I get 2.75% each month or ~0.23%?

Do what I did. Jump to Motive and call it done.

2.8% savings
2.4% TFSA

Tired of played the stupid Tang game.

But I don't have savings account, gotta try if I open new savings account it is still applicable or not.
I got the offer until December 31st as well. It works on new savings accounts so you can just transfer money around your accounts and suddenly it's "new" and gets the rates.

If you find a bank that will give you 2.75% monthly rate in Canada, let me know too.

You mean 2.75% monthly? You know that's 33% annual interest rate right?

so if i already had money in my savings account when i got this offer, i can move it to my chequing account and then move it back to savings or tfsa and it'll be "new" and get the new 2.75% rate?

They take a snapshot of the $$ ampunt across all your eligible accounts prior to giving you the offer. So that money will not be "new" money
