Canada, Eh!!
Presently spouse has 5% promo and I have none BUT yet to get this 4.75% email :(

Gotta decide if add more funds to 5% accounts or buy some dividend paying stocks... give it another week before deciding.
2022: BOC raised 8 times and MCAP raised its prime next day.
2017 to 2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

Try Saven Financial 3.75%, that seems to be the highest non-promo rate currently (not limited to N months; available to anyone).

(Actually both DUCA and Saven are Ontario credit unions, so maybe Ontario only.)
Amerifriend threads need to include instructions on how to acquire an amerifriend.

But at 2.5%, that's still below market... =(

Didn't get the email. But, I see the Scotiabank momentum plus savings account offer of 4.6% for 5 months. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Did you read and understand what you posted in regards to getting the full 4.6%?

We had this last August and only chose 90 days period (only got 0.85% period interest). But you need to open momentum plus savings and momentum chequing. While were there we also did some bill payments and setup PAPs and got $300 from them too. We just closed all the accounts last week

Long time customer feeling jilted. After 3.75 promo ended 12/31, no promo-soup for me! Getting 1% LOL! Called in - can't offer me anything. Like nothing, not even 3%! Going to send funds to Hubert for 3.25 without any haggling: calc daily, paid monthly even if funds are withdrawn partway thru month, get interest for the funds that were there.

Tangerine used to be great - guess I'm talking decades ago now, but they've lost all goodwill built up. Will just use them as a transaction hub now.

cheers,
:)

Just finished talking to a customer rep, if I keep my money there for at least 90 days without making any withdrawals, the total return can be 4.25%. 4.6% requires more time, 360 days plus an unlimited account.

I also did not receive the email, but found it when manually going to the Insights in the app. Confirmed it doesn't apply to USD so, for now, not activating it and leaving all my savings spread across DYN6004 and DYN6005.

Maybe next month they offer 5% or more on everything. Might be enough to convince me.
I can't afford to buy cheap stuff. Therefore, I'm thirsty for deals on durable goods.
