If you put something within the 10%/1000 bonus and then return it later, do you lose the bonus?

Ie: Buy something 100, then return it later do you still only have $900 left to get 10$ bonus? or do you regain that space back?

Deal expired yesterday. GCR is now $50. You could've gotten $125 from GCR on either card by applying through their website (link in the first post), plus 12% cashback on 1K spend with the card.

EDIT: Looks like GCR bumped the amount up to $110 now. And Tangerine is offering an extra 15% on 1K spend until Nov 30.

No, I called and was told it will be on the next statement cycle which we should see early November. 2 full cycles after the end of the promo which was mid-august I believe. August doesn't count

Tangerine says "I cannot have two credit card accounts" when I apply, but I only have a Chequing account with them. Annoying.

Ok well apparently what the rep told me was wrong, I just made a payment on my card and the 10% $100 has been credited to me. I didn't get a notification or anything like they usually do for cashback each month, instead there was a $100 credit on my bill showing a negative balance

Some people who got in with the 10% called in and got the more recent 15% promotion from tangerine. Although not sure if GCR will give in as well with their promotion. Did anyone here do this? How easy was it?

Yes, it showed up last week as a bill credit for $100...not cash back like it usually does
