I collect money when these offers are in place then pay off my credit cards or buy GICs when they expire. That way I always start new when they offer good interest rates.

Vote with your money and go to Canadian Tire Bank (not my 1st choice) or EQ Bank. It's just that simple and you get to keep your dignity by not having to beg. Imagine, begging a bank to take your money - now we've all really lost it.

I haven't received any offers from Tangerine for over a year! Pretty bleak.

Just use EQ/Neo, it's the same or even higher rate.

I've got no offers for years. I think they have forgotten about my account. It's empty except for a few cents I transfer every so often to keep it active.
It's back at motive for 1.3% after the simplii promotion of 2.5 ended

Ah. I remember the days I used to chase HISA rates. Then I grew up and realized one can make 2% in a day in an ETf versus chug along to earn 1.2% in a year.

Same. I just keep a bit of cash in those savings account now. With things like VEQT, XAW, and VFV making more, why bother chasing peanuts, unless of course you need the money soon or are very risk adverse.

Might as well give my savings to EQ bank... and save the work of moving funds around later...

I thought EQ regular is 2.3%?Phonophoresis wrote: ↑ Ouch, 1.5%.
No lottery for me this time, but at 1.5%... into EQ my money goes! Given rates are the same, would way rather support EQ due to consistent, fair offerings; as opposed to TNG, where I have to deal with this stupid lottery every few months and make sure I move my money out the few days before. Plus, EQ has a built-in chequing/savings account; whereas with TNG, you have to transfer back and forth.
