$399 seems to be the base US price for the mini retina. In canada it's $419. Hopefully this is a target canada deal - but I'm not hopeful.

I got the iPad Air deal on Black Friday. Definitely worth trying for, and nice to see a deal on the Retina Mini -- on Black Friday it was only the original Mini.

This was basically the same deal on Black Friday, only at the store I went to they subbed the 32G Air for the 16G air when they ran out. But i just kept going back and using the gift cards they had just given me on the previous purchase. There were a few smaller gift cards given as well. In the end got a 32G Air and a 32G mini retina for 272.09 each and a 64G Air for 472.09. Plus taxes but incuded a recycle fee

Hmmm... get the Ipad Air now or wait for the (highly rumored) release of the Ipad Pro? If I knew the Ipad Pro is definitely coming I would wait for sure.

To use around my place. That's what I did with my Ipad 2, I rarely took it out of my apartment. I find Ipads a lot more convenient than a laptop to carry with you from room to room or to use in bed (even the MacBook Air ... which I also once had).

Thanks for the heads up. Did not know that. Will try to hold off replacing my 3rd gen till this comes out. Really looking forward to 4K and 256GB capacity. Hope Apple heard Woz's complaint on the max capacity of the Air!
