I just called Amex Travel, asked the agent if I can use the annual 200$ credit for this offer and she said yes, so I asked her, just to confirm, if I book hotel/car for 900$ I would get back 500$, correct? she said yes but you have to do it online...

I will call again in next week to talk to another agent, since my 200$ credit won't show up till then...

Anyone else actually did this and received both credits?

I don't see why you wouldn't get both, they're separate offers. The $200 is a card benefit, and this $300 is a time limited promotion.

Sorry guys... I am not aware of there is a annual 200 travel credit. I have the Gold rewards AMEX, so does this apply to my card? Or it's Another AMEX Card.

Thanks!

I wanted to be sure because in the promotion it says "A maximum of one (1) statement credit will be applied to your account"

Got a bit confused while reading the whole thread... From my understanding, the $300 credit applies to:
- Multiple car or hotel bookings
- Non-hotel collection
- 900$ including taxes
- get 300$ back in 4-5 business days.

The 200$ annual rebate is for the platinum amex only.

My 2nd time using Amex travel for car rental. Their prices seem to be best about a month before booking date and especially better than other sites showing low numbers but in USD.
Their customer service is also very good, however that's amex in general so if the price difference is small, I always go with Amex.

For those of you that received the credit, did your teavel end by May 31, 2019?

The T&C mentions that:
Offers are available for hotel stays or prepaid car rentals booked between February 14, 2018 and February 28, 2019, for stays/pickups between February 14, 2019 and May 31, 2019.

I am planning to do this. But do you know if you have to complete the booking by May 31?

From the T&C:
Offers are available for select prepaid car rentals booked between February 14, 2018 and February 28, 2019, for pickups between February 14, 2019 and May 31, 2019.

I received $300 credit for my hotel booking for $900+ in August. The $300 credit was credited within a week.

No $200 credit for Gold. This is only available on Personal Platinum version which is the most expensive AMEX card in term of the annual fee. But, it comes with a good promo like this time for $300 hotel credit. There was also a notable perk last time for $300 credit to purchase at Pearson Airport.

So last weekend I booked hotel and car rental for a trip in May, total 921$, used the annual 200$ from Platinum. On Wednesday the 200$ credit posted to my account and the 300$ credit posted on Friday...

I found the Amex Travel website prices to be within a few $ from other sites, so a 921$ cost me 421$... Not too shabby!

BTW, a friend of mine has the Business Gold card and he received a similar offer, 900$ spend for 15,000 MR points... Basically enough for a short haul round flight if transfered to Aeroplan...

Did anyone with a Business Platinum Card get this offer?

In general, I don’t think I’m getting the targeting offers. Could be my email address needs to be updated? Any suggestions on how to get more targeted offers?

Amex increased the Business Platinum fee this year significantly , so contemplating on changing my card as I see limited benefits (especially when not getting such offers.)

Any insight or suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance all.
