Is it possible to only block calls and outgoing text? I am assuming incoming texts are free.

Looks like we don't have to top up extra $10 to keep the balance not 0, if only want data, right? Thanks

The $10 is not necessary. Just top up with $113 ($100 + HST), buy your data and leave the balance at $0

I just got my sim today. Only took a day with Xpresspost. I'm using it with a Sierra Wireless 313 data stick which is capable of LTE but only connects at HSPA+ with this sim.
The download speeds are ok at 20+ megabits but the upload speeds are just barely over 1 megabit. My condo building has Rogers cell antennas so the signal couldn't be better.
It seems like the upload speeds are being throttled. Can someone in Toronto run a speedtest and see if you get any better than 1.2 megabit upload?

Data usage is in the same prepaid.tbaytel.net website where bought your data.
I have tried this and the default Rogers LTE apn, but no matter what, I cannot tether!

Every time I enable my WiFi, I get no data (both on phone or any device I connect to the WiFi). As soon as u stop the tethering I have data back on the phone.

Anyone is able to tether? I had no problem on the bell tablet sim, or wind/mobilicity

Tethering works properly on an iPad Air.

Yea I have the Nexus 4. But when I enable tethering with hotspot (WiFi) I lose the data access.

I tried with no encryption for testing. I don't lose phone date anymore, but all other devices still don't have data access

Did you try with different ROMs on the n4?

No, but nothing changed since I was able to tether from Bell to when I now switched to Tbaytel, and not being able to

I'll have to break out my n4 and try it to see what happens. Which ROM are you using?

The default APN is rogers-core-appl1.apn. The MMS proxy is 10.128.1.69. The APN protocol is IPV4 only though. I had previously done all my tethering on a Nexus 7 3G tablet. I just tested tethering on a HTC amaze. It worked. Not sure what more I can provide to help.

Additional update. The data seems rather wonky tonight. The signal strength seems to flutter between 0 and 3 bars, not sure why this is the case.
