TC4350 vs CDA3-35 Cable Modems

Thinking about switching from Rogers Ignite 150U to Home Cable 250 from Start.ca. I was browsing my local Kijiji (Kitchener-Waterloo) to see what options are on there for PCI-E Wi-Fi adapters to replace my old Netgear WNDA3100 N600 USB 2.0 stick for under $45 & saw there was some Cable Modems for sale on there, considering it'd be cheaper in the long run to buy a modem instead of renting ($5/month for DOCSIS 3.0, $7/month for DOCSIS 3.1 or $150 to purchase a TC4400), I checked the list on start.ca & found 2 models on Kijiji under $45, a Techni Color Cable Modem - TC4350 that was used with TekSavvy for $40 firm & there's a Hitron CDA3-35 that was bought from CanNet being sold for $20. I was wondering out of the 2, what would be the most reliable?

both of those models are on the way out to be replaced with tc4400 now that are docsis 3.1. also the tc4400 uses a brodcom chip were those others use a puma chip that alot of people have complaints and issues with.
