OP what is "$150 for luggage free" in your title?

You get one checked luggage free when buying AC metal tickets. But what's the $150 luggage free?

So you don't even know what you're talking about. Why post that title at all.

The answer was in the post
Can be $75 per flight per person for bags
Therefore $150 free for bags

And was kicking myself because I just applied for a new card.

You just proved again you don't know what you're talking about. Better learn what the benefit mean before keep on giving wrong info.

For the 1st bag, AC can charge $30 for flights to Canada/US/Caribbean or $70 int'l. That's for one bag, not bags. If there are several flight segments in that one-way route, it's the same charge.

For all Accounts: Rebate of the Annual Fee is only for the first year for the Primary Cardholder and up to 3 Additional Cardholders added to the Account. To receive the first-year annual fee rebate, you must activate your Card and make your first Purchase on the Account within the first 3 months after Account opening. To receive the Additional Cardholder Annual Fee Rebates, you must add your Additional Cardholders by August 17, 2021. Annual Fee Rebate will be applied within 2 monthly statements from the date of the statement with the first Annual Fee charge. The Primary Cardholder is responsible for all charges to the Account, including those made by any Additional Cardholder. Other conditions apply. If you have opened an Account in the last 12 months, you will not be eligible for this offer. We reserve the right to limit the number of Accounts opened by one person, and the number of Welcome Bonus Aeroplan points, additional bonus Aeroplan points and bonus Buddy Passes awarded to any one person.
Does the above refer to opening any TD account or previously opened TD Aeroplan account?

OP posted such an old deal with wrong title. Then continue to make a fool of himself with wrong info.

OP should get better educated.

Oh, c'mon! Give OP a break! He did well to create a new thread as the old thread was moved to Expired section. Also, bear in mind that this is a new promo for the same card with different bonus (20K pts + buddy pass instead of 45K pts). But it's true that the savings about the luggage fees in the title are misleading and that the OP lacks rigor in detail when posting as well any proofreading skills.

Does the flight on the AC metal need to be actually paid with this same credit card to be able to benefit from the first checked bag free or does the traveler only need to show it at the AC check-in desk?

I'd rather have people posting reposts by accident than not posting at all. No need for the hostility to the OP.

Someone posted on reddit they paid with amex and was able to check a bag since it is linked to your aeroplan account. I'd bring the AP card just in case

Yes indeed, you should as nowhere does it state clearly in the fine print on "how" exactly one could actually take advantage of this benefit but only "who" actually can. I can't see people just showing their CC at the AC check-in counter hoping or taking for granted that the AC check-in agent would be aware of the CC benefits.

Exactly, I booked a flight and on the confirmation it doesnt show a free bag, I hope it shows up in online check-in because the card doesnt give priority check in...
