OT question - Can I redeem/book tickets for other people to travel without me coming along at all? I want to gift my relatives the flight cost for their vacation

Same here, but did you get other point? Like regular spending point?

I got none.. it’s over a week, no bonus point, no regular point.

What are good ways to get more Aeroplan points en-masse. After this card, you'd get 20-30K points. It'd take another 30-40K for a ticket.

What? It doesn’t take that many points for a ticket.

I just flew two people round trip ottawa to nfld for for a total of 38k and $180.

Sorry, was biased towards international flights. But yeah, you make a good point on that 38k

Points are better saved and used for international flights with stop over. Even better with business class. You paid 38K and 180 cash for 2 tickets within Canada imho better to buy the ticket with cash.

VS a business class ticket to Asia will easily cost you 4k one way.
