TD and RBC cards no longer work for CEX.IO deposits

Just wanted to update a fact that I've tried both for deposits onto CEX.IO and transactions fail to pass in multiple accounts.

It does not make a difference regarding whether you get your card in verified status by CEX, or even if you were previously verified.

On both cards, the fraud departments of the bank called and mentioned that cex as a company on the whole has been disallowed due to security concerns, suspicious activity, complaints that flag them, and general AML/ATF/KYC laws. They also did confirm that the purchases are classified as a Cash Advance under the merchant category code of QuasiCash, similar to gambling or private money transfer.

For Canadian customers, shy away from making or using CEX accounts if you're a TD/RBC customer for Visa Debit or Visa Credit.

I think this is a wake up to call to see what kind of company CEX is. To be singularly banned when other platforms continue to work, shows that the banks may have done their due diligence and risk management upon the one solitary sleeziest company.
