$10 Statement Credit for every $50 Home Depot Gift Card Redeemed, plus 25% bonus upon redemption

Expiry:
August 15, 2020
Retailer:
TD Rewards
I received an E-mail from TD Rewards that says I receive $10 statement credit on my credit card for every $50 Home Depot gift card redeemed, in addition to the 25% bonus (using 25% less points) when redeeming for Home Depot gift cards.

Seems like a good deal now that you get $10 statement credits, right?

I didn’t get an email for the costco offer but was able to choose $350 in costco gift cards and bonus $70 posted to my account this week.

So if you can see the offer when you login to tdrewards site, you are good.

It will credit you. I redeemed points for $550 in Costco cards in the last promo. My card had a $0 balance and now has a $110 credit.

Please, help me to understand: when I buy something on Expedia for TD I get $1 for every 200 points, right? So, say 15000 points are $75 worth.
Now, here a $50 HD gift card is 15000 point... Looks like even extra $10 do not make it worth. Am I wrong or correct in my assumptions?

50 CAD gift card (+10 CAD credit to your CC) on redeeming 15000 Reward Points => 1 CAD per 250 TD Reward Points.

So you are burning 25% extra points for this deal vs Expedia, to get a CAD worth.

Worthwhile given the Covid travel restrictions and Expedia markups in normal times.

I found the offer when clicked on the $50 Home Depot gift card, not when I logged in.

Seems like a good deal if you were planning to buy things from Home Depot.

Just log in to TDrewards normally and go to redeem HD Gift Card, offer is there.

Time to purchase a hedge trimmer, thanks OP

Are these cards physical cards or digital cards?

* edit *

Just found it on site - they're physical.

Speaking of the 25% off promo, do these promos come often? I'm new to collecting TD Points, and wondering if I should wait until I get some bonus points first, and then wait for the next promo, or just redeem with what I have now without my full bonus points.

That is my math as well. Travel is a better redemption. I suppose some might say a bird in the hand in light of covid but I dont see Expedia or TD going under and next year we will be back to normal, hopefully.
