Techo-Bloc: Slate or Smooth Finish slab?

I'm looking into a backyard patio and a front walkway along my driveway. My contractor recommended Techo-Bloc BLU 60 mm for the patio, and 80 mm for the walkway.

https://www.techo-bloc.com/en/products/blu-60/

Question is, what are the benefits of the slate vs. smooth finish? Is the slate finish too bumpy for patio furniture??

80 for the walkway? I just ordered 700 sq ft for a pedestrian only patio and went with Blu 60 smooth.

Everything I have read says 60 is fine if you dont plan on driving on it.

If you have questions on it, I messaged the sales guy from techno block on Instagram and he answered everything I threw at him.

His handle on instagram is techno_billyblu

His profile has his cell so I sent him some text messages as well.

we have the slate type finish on our porch and front walkway. the ridges in the stone make it a little bit of a pain to shovel snow in the winter (the shovel sometimes hits and sticks on a ridge) but nothing serious. we don't have patio furniture on ours but i would think with the ridges you might need to balance some of the legs on chairs to stop them from any slight rocking. we didn't use tech bloc for our backyard but did go with a smooth stone for that reason
