First credit to discman017 from Slickdeals

Now that the feds are set to loosen border restrictions to remove the testing requirements to come back to Canada, I am sure many are wanting to visit our neighbours down south.

The deal is not for everyone and you will need to have a place in the US to ship it to because they won't ship to Canada.

I've tried the deal as described in the SD thread and it works. Here is what you will need to do:

1. Goto Stacksocial and buy the $50 of StackSocial Store Credit for $40USD. You can pay with Paypal. The credit $50 credit is instantly in your account.
https://stacksocial.com/sales/50-of-store-credit-for-25

2. Go to Stacksocial and find the Tello Value Prepaid 6-Month Plan: Unlimited Talk/Text + 2GB LTE Data (2 Account Bundle) for $79USD
https://stacksocial.com/sales/2-lines-o ... b-lte-data

Upon checkout you will have the ability to use the $50 credit you just purchased (there will be a box to check on the left hand side to use the credit). This will bring the total down to $29 plus taxes depending on your location. Note that you cannot use any coupon codes with this deal but you can use the $50 credit.
After the purchase, in your order details, you will find two separate codes for Tello and a link to take you to Tello where the 2gb plan is already pre-selected. Don't change the plan. You will need to sign up for a new account for each code.

*If you get a referral code from someone, you will also get $10 credit to your account during signup. I found a referral code online for the first account and then referred myself for the 2nd account. You enter the referral code right below where you enter your email and password.

3. Once you have signed up to Tello via the link in your Stacksocial order, you will need to select that you will need a Sim card, and enter your IMEI because your are BYOD. The subtotal should be around $7 or $9 and there will be a place to enter the coupon code from your Stacksocial order. The code will bring your total down to $0 and will also show 6 months promo has been applied. You will enter your shipping address and will require credit card or paypal to complete the purchase. You won't get charged since the order is $0. Just remember to cancel service before 6 months is up or delete credit card from account later.

Repeat for 2nd account and make sure to refer yourself. Your referral code won't be active until your 1st order ship so wait a bit. My order shipped the same day.

The sim will ship to your US address and your time starts when you activate the sim. (you have 30 days to activate sim)

Tello runs on T-Mobile and you also get alot of free international calling including Canada

My sim just shipped and I plan to activate once I get a chance to go down without the Covid testing requirements coming back home.

do you know who they roam with in Canada? And do you get LTE when you are roaming?

update: just read in T&S
Roaming is not available, and our Service can not be used outside US territory.

Just wanted to provide an update.
I picked up my sims on the weekend down south and activation was a breeze. You just log into your Tello account, enter the activation code located on the sim card and then a random phone number is assigned to you and the service is available right away. I got LTE data on running on the T-Mobile network. I should also point out the you get unlimited 2g data once your 2GB runs out.

I think its a pretty good deal for 2 lines and 6 months of service.

As strikeraj pointed out, there is no roaming in Canada but this deal is really for those that like to go down south frequently.

I'm more than happy using ATT Prepaid as my main provider for both US and Canada + a Canadian VoIP for Canadian incoming calls.
