It's worth it, but the last time the promo coincided with a sale on Amazon devices at Telus ($100 for the echo, so it ended being $20 with the prime membership factored out).

Has anyone got their code right away?covenant9 wrote: ↑ FYI....according to the store fine print, it could take "up to 30 days" to receive the code via e-mail.
I wanted to pick up an Echo anyway so I purchased one yesterday and filled out the form to receive the free year of Prime. They didn't mention any delay at the time. When I didn't receive a code within a few hours, I called the store and they told me they had just read about it on their memo for the promotion.

You could just renew at the monthly rate for now then enter the code when you get it. Amazon is smart enough such that the free code will not start until your current membership expires. I hoped on this last year. I like the Echo.Nethervue wrote: ↑ Why the downvotes? I'm not totally up to speed (ok... not at all up to speed actually) on devices like these... My Prime membership is about to expire in a few days and I was going to renew anyway. Wouldn't the $129.99 speaker be a pretty good no brainer if you wanted to get into that space especially considering I have a Fire Stick as well (basic version if that matters)? Or still not worth the $50 extra as speaker & Alexa device?

I don’t see this deal advertised anymore on Telus’ site. Is that a sign that they’ve run out of Prime codes?

I bought it yesterday in store and didn't fill any form in store or online.

The store Rep has to fill in a form on their system. I would call them to see if they can do it over the phone, otherwise you will have to go back to the store to do it.

It looked like an internal Telus webpage for the amazon prime code that had areas to fill out, name, phone number, email address, transaction code from receipt, how many bought. No confirmation email as of yet but I watched him fill it in and submit the form.

None of my local stores carry the echo. Is there any other way of getting in on this deal?
