On Shaw contract till September. If they offer something like this then I’ll move my services over (current telus EPP mobile only). Shaw has always been fantastic but almost the same price for 3x the speed is ridiculous.

I'm currently on a 2-year contract with Telus for internet. Has anyone successful cancelled a 2-year contract to go onto another 2-year agreement? T&C says that there is a cancellation fee up to $360 if you cancel.

I took another look at the OP and it looks like its only available from the OP's Telus rep. Is this a YMMV deal?

"This internet offer is from my Telus rep but I think you can get the same deal from a supervisor at Telus fibre sales team. Call 1-888-811-2323 and press fibre team."

definitely YMMV for the $65 however, other rfders were able to get it without any problems.

don't give up unless you tried more than 5 times.

the offer is there. I assumed it is outbound sales rep only that's why you need a supervisor to price match it.

I was offered something similar along with $700 in bill credits. I'm allowed to pass their contact info if anyone wants to reach out to a rep about internet

I called and the regular agent couldn't help but said the person probably had additional discounts that would be removed on checkout.

They tried to transfer me to loyalty but I got lost in the phone system.

This was his offer.

So final offer, $90/m (2 yr term price lock TV+INT, 3 yr Security) breaks down like this:

Internet 300/300 $70
Tv $25
Security $15
Koodo $35 (connection fee credit of $45)

Monthly discounts -$20 × 24 months
Bill credits $600

I was also given an extra $100 for some reason, it's not super clear, I emailed him asking for further details

I almost got scammed by those event promoters. He kept telling me he will give me a ring camera, Weiser smart lock and other smart equipment for free!
I was very excited since I paid $400+ for 2 Weiser smart lock and a ring camera.

When I asked if it was a 2 years contract, he said yes. Only 2 years. Then he showed me the types of equipment that I can choose from.
it says 36 months financing. Not free and he lied. I asked him why is it 36 months financing? He said smart home monitoring is 3 years contract but internet and tv are only for 2 years.
He kept saying Don't worry. Just call customer service after 2 years and they will offer you better offers. They want to keep customers so they will do everything they can to keep you as a customer.

Too bad he didn't know I'm a rfder. Those lies won't work on me. The cancellation fee is quite expensive. He even throws in an extra $100 credit (total $500+$100) to bait me。 Luckily, I didn't fall for it.
Good man. This is their strategy, sign you up for 3 year contract, crank up the prices after 2 years for the other stuff.
Probably worth putting a reminder in the calendar for 2 years from starting of their contract, to see when the bill goes up by ~2x.

I hate those shady cellphone sales people. They are becoming the next "car salesmen"
