When I called in, they said it was $110 per month after promo pricing.

Anyone currently with fiber know if they need to schedule a service call to upgrade it?

I am in the process of upgrading to TELUS' Internet 300. If you have fibre that runs to your home, the only other criteria needed is whether you have the new advanced wi-fi modem; in that case, a software profile change should suffice.

While that is technically true... I had 150/150 already with the advanced modem and the sales person insisted that a dispatch was necessary to do the upgrade (eventhough it really should be a software order only).

I can't imagine they need to give you new hardware or anything. What is the tech going to do?

Keep us posted since it seems rather odd that they even need to waste people's time with sending a tech out

Just some details for everyone:
*edit* the initial promo prices are for new customers only

Internet 300 on 2 year term
$55/m (6m)
$110/m (thereafter)
Usage: Unlimited for 2 year term and $15 thereafter.

Internet 300 MTM
$55/m (3m)
$110/m (thereafter)
Usage: 1TB/M
Additional $15/M Unlimited Data

Internet 300 Student Offer MTM
$45 /M (1 month free + 7 months)
$110 /M (thereafter)
Usage: 1TB/M
Additional $15/M Unlimited Data

If you're wondering if you can get it or not, PM me and I can have a look at whether your address is viable for the 300. (PureFibre only, not copper)
Generally if you have the T3200M , you shouldn't need to upgrade the hardware. However, techs may potentially need to go to your home to double check the modem/wires/speed (anything really) etc.
ONT definitely does not need to be switched out.

*edit*
The speed is 300 down and 300 up symmetrical speeds.

Too bad TELUS can still only offer 25mb in my area of Coquitlam. Nice. 300 from Shaw or 25mbps from TELUS... tough choice.

This is in response to Shaw launching internet 300, not to give a deal for Optik 150.
