[Telus] Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB

YMMV for the pricing of the plan depending on your region when financing for this device. I would be jumping on this if I or SO needed a new phone to "futureproof" beyond 2 years (typing this on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+) as we don't pay for monthly subscriptions for cloud storage services.

End date for the promo pricing also TBD. This is for the consumer side. I'm against the Bring-it-Back option unless you're one to switch phones and keep it in pristine condition.

$53.33/mo over 24 months for the phone financing portion for service, which brings it to $1280 before taxes, which TELUS charges for on the first invoice.

Paying $50 a month for 2 years to buy a phone is insane.

Still cannot justify spending over $1000 on a phone.

Here is what I would have done.

Step 1: Sign up for Kodoo deal on Black Friday that was giving $ 300 Gift card and free iphone 11 for signing up for 2 years $ 45 contract.
Step 2: Sell unopened Iphone 11 locally on Kijiji or Craigslist for around, I am guessing, $ 500.
Step 3: Buy open box Iphone 13 pro max from Best Buy for around $ 1,000.
Step 4: Your total cost is now only $ 1,000 - $ 500 - $ 300 = $ 200.

It's normal in this day and age. People will gladly sign up for 96 month auto loans, 24 month financing for phones, and even 12 month financing for clothing.

Crazy that the OP even bothered to post this deal.

Device is $53/month. Cheapest plan is $75/month plan (after a $10/month credit)

$138/month total and to top it off this is a "deal"

Do yourself a favor next time OP. Before you post any deal, go to google and search the product that you are about to post along with "redflagdeals" and see if/how it compares to recent deals.

Not sure if gladly is correct. However, with the economy and people unable to afford items in one transaction - it’s definitely more common place.

Even booking a flight there are payment options now.

How did you get Step 3? Looks like Iphone 13 Pro Max 128gb open box, is $1399 at Bestbuy.

I put it for the people that are already with the Robelus who are looking to get a device financed as not everybody has the means to pay upfront for a device that will survive beyond the 2 years of the financing.
The option to also lease the device is $30/mo over 24 months for a 512GB iPhone at the very least.

A Google search into local pricing has the phone being sold easily at $1200 for USED, and it'll be BNIB. You'll still be able to recoup some of the costs back should you decide to sell it after.

If it's not for you, you can simply downvote. Not everyone is willing to be inconvenienced to switch every 2 years with intermittent service, or deal with CSRs for hours on end because somebody messed up. This is before considering Family Discount, retention credits, etc.

Sold mine for 400 each. Lotta messages too. If I accepted 350, it would have been sold within the hour of posting.

350 is the typical asking price on the ads I've been seeing here. I bought one a few months ago for less. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@realnatedawg The discount on the phone is great, but the cheapest available Telus plan ($75 for 50GB at 250Mbps 5G speed) really sours the deal. A better deal currently available is Koodo as they have the 13 Pro Max 1TB for $46/month and this can be combined with the $65/month 40GB plan ($50/month for the first 15 months) -- albeit 4G speed. $96/month for 15 months then $111/month for 9 months.

Only 3 or so weeks ago, Fido had the 13 Pro 1TB for $39/month and some Fido customers (not me though) were offered the phone for $34/month. I think Koodo had a similar deal going at the time. The Fido deal was compatible with the 50GB Black Friday plan I had gotten only a couple weeks before, so I will be paying $84/month for 23 months and $104 in the final month.

Don't forget that not so long ago people were paying about $2500 for mid grade desktop with "huge" 2.1 GB hard drive and AOL cd with 3 months free dial up internet. Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes Today any $1000 phone outperforms those 10x plus it fits in your pocket.
I paid $600 for the first Sony 3.2 megapiksel p&s camera from Future Shop, not to mention $2000 Di8 Sony video camera. Modern cellphones replaced 10 or more different devices, so they are relatively cheap vs what they can do.

Hold up. Am I reading this right? The same priced MacBook Air has a 256gb drive and this iPhone has 1TB?

Plans are way too expensive.

If you're going all out, why go for a dated iPhone with a notch? You'd go 14 PM.
