Telus..call forward your phone to any number in north america

For 5$

This could be helpful if you own a u.s based number and wish to downgrade your telus plan

Feature used to be 3$ local number only.

Edit: Contrary to what is written online (outdated), you can call forward without long distance charges to any number in u.s and canada.

This could be a very good option for me for when I travel to the US with my roam mobility sim. Can you kindly provide a link to the details? Google leads me in circles for home phone/how-to's and telus' website blows. Thanks OP

Might as well use the new Telus travel pass that they released this month for the US, for $7 a day that allows you to use your current plan in the US.

I think the point though is that this is substantially cheaper for most people - especially those with US long distance minutes on their regular Telus plan, and a Roam SIM

Yes exactly like it, except that Telus allows you to use it on grandfathered plans unlike Rogers which requires you to be on one of the newer plans.

So with this new feature, we're looking at $0.17/day plus Roam's daily plan (i like the $3.95 plan myself) = $4.12 day. I can receive all my 604 calls as usual, no one gets dinged LD and I would dial out with my US#, all using the TMobile network, correct?

That's pretty neat to me, unless I'm missing something.

Not sure where you're coming from with this comment.

For 5$ a month, forward your telus # to any u.s #.

If this doesn't help you, maybe don't post here..? Right..bye.

This is really great news! $5/mo to forward all missed call to Google voice for "free" visual voicemail/transcription service!

Just remember that you are paying for the long distance.

I forward all cell calls to a VOIP.MS and then I have a ring-group setup to forward calls where needed, such as fongo etc. Works pretty well and there is no charge between cell and VOIP.MS (local number). I just pay fractional cents to forward from VOIP.MS to the ultimate destination(s).

Remember...you do not pay for LD rates if forwarded to non local number...contrary to what has been posted in this thread.
