Telus and Caller ID
Is there a way to get my name to be displayed when making outbound calls? My outbound calls show up as British Columbia.

With TELUS, it'll work automatically depending on the device you're using and the city you're in. No extra charge (not a paid add-on, unlike Rogers/Fido).

Really? Before I switched from Rogers to Telus, my name displayed correctly when I make outbound calls. I tested this at home. It is a good and bad thing, depending on the person. Some people have to pay a fee to get their name unlisted so that the name appear as "private caller". Having "British Columbia" will save the trouble of getting the name unlisted.

Makes me wonder if they haven't updated the 411 information for your phone number. Call them and let them know what's happening and they should be able to get that fixed.
(I know when I was porting phone numbers, we had to update the 411 and 911 databases with the new information).

AFAIK, 4-1-1 only applies to landlines.
