The 3 people that downvoted this thread should be forced to serve in the Canadian Army on the frontlines. :)

TELUS tries very hard to come across as caring and "community caring" - a spoken and key part of their business strategy to win over customers -- the way they do business is meh though, but whatever benefits a good cause.

why is there no counter on the site, so that you can see your scroll actually got recorded?

Not working for me? I see nothing except the landing page and a flower.

Probably those who were expecting to be paid $5 for their time to scroll down the page, lol. Sad.

Not a big deal either way. Upvotes and downvotes shouldn't mean anything to anyone. The post itself is enough.

The sad truth of war is that there were many good people who died for their countries on all sides. The idea that only "our" soldiers were noble, decent people shows a real lack of understanding.
All Quiet on the Western Front illustrates this well.

It's not long enough...

Somehow they missed my great-uncle Richard who was killed in action on the push on Canal du Nord on September 27, 1918. He was awarded the Military Medal for his actions that day. Not sure where Telus got their list, but Richard's name is recorded in the Book of Remembrance.

Nice dog-whistling. Way to tarnish a good cause with unsolicited xenophobia against immigrants as if they are less grateful to our troops than "native" Canadians.

Great deed that they are doing but only goes up to a max of 25k.
Can someone pin this up ? TELUS could donate more than 25K out of their billions in profit.

RIP and I think a great way to honor our heroes is to ensure no other men or women have to die in wars.

No need - capped at 25K.

Props to TELUS for donating the $25K, but more-so for creating a digital experience that conveys the cost of war.

I don't understand why they would cap at 25K personally, but agree that the initiative is smart
