Probably Ontario only because AB/BC have access to Shaw Mobile offers.
Koodo: 11GB/$50 (-$5/month discount for 24 months, then $55/month)

Wow, this seems really good, aside from being on Freedom...? If my math is correct, that works out to about $45/mo for 2 years which includes the phone.
how are people's experiences with Freedom? Looking for a plan for my 12yo and was going to go with lucky $40/mo on a hand me down iphone 7. But this is enticing.

If it was $45.00 I would do it in a heartbeat, too much $$$ on freedom network.

If the Freedom network wasn't so awful, I would consider it.

What are the chances I can convince one of the reps to give me this deal if I'm on fido?

Fido is charging 32.92 per month as a phone price or the same.

Freedom’s network is a hit or a miss depending on your location. I’ve personally lucked out with where I am in the city of Toronto (and the places I usually commute/travel to). So, I can’t complain.

Probably easier to just open a Koodo account, port your number there and then call Freedom. Might even be able to do it with Koodo prepaid.

Only thing I hate about them is that they’re targeted specifically at each other. Why not just permanently lower the in market rates? Freedom/Shaw Mobile isn’t going anywhere anytime soon...
