Wow, this seems really good, aside from being on Freedom...? If my math is correct, that works out to about $45/mo for 2 years which includes the phone.
how are people's experiences with Freedom? Looking for a plan for my 12yo and was going to go with lucky $40/mo on a hand me down iphone 7. But this is enticing.

What are the chances I can convince one of the reps to give me this deal if I'm on fido?

Fido is charging 32.92 per month as a phone price or the same.

Freedom’s network is a hit or a miss depending on your location. I’ve personally lucked out with where I am in the city of Toronto (and the places I usually commute/travel to). So, I can’t complain.

Probably easier to just open a Koodo account, port your number there and then call Freedom. Might even be able to do it with Koodo prepaid.

Only thing I hate about them is that they’re targeted specifically at each other. Why not just permanently lower the in market rates? Freedom/Shaw Mobile isn’t going anywhere anytime soon...

If you mean dual sim as in one Sim slot and one eSim slot then yes. But if you're looking for 2 physical sim slots then that's a no (China is the only one that has that version).

Freedom is YMMV, both my kids are on Freedom I no worries about overage data and over. The good thing is they always give a phone no extra TAB, as I said I have no issue using it around GTA, Barrie up North (connect on roaming), Niagara Region, QC (connect to roaming), In the US two of my lines have US included on the plan so no extra.
