Damn.. Currently on Koodo. I really want the phone but it seems like the network coverage sucks and it's not worth it.

Offer includes a $15/mo x 24 months discount.*

Does this sound like $60 after the $15?discount and not $45?

If I am current a Telus customer, can I port over to Freedom to get this iPhone 11 $60/10GB deal... then port back to Telus to get their $45/25GB winback offer... and keep the iPhone 11 by paying the $15/month for 24 months discount... basically paying $360 (+activation fees) for an iPhone 11?

Also, newb question but I’m currently the 2nd line on my wife’s Telus EPP account. Can I do this on my own or do I need to get her involved? She may not want to jump over and possibly not be able to port back to Telus so I rather just go solo on this deal.
I don’t think Freedom (or any provider - koodo changed their policy a while back) does this, they put the full MSRP on your tab and reduce it prorated each month.

Always been that way.
I once ported intraday from Fido —> Chatr —> Fido.

They know most people won't bother switching, so no reason to give deals to existing customers anymore. But RFDers are smarter than that as loyalty means nothing anymore with carriers.

Then why is it that only China model gets the dual physical sim slots?

This a good deal compared to iPhone 11 retail price but the part that sucks for iPhone 11 is its a $1000 phone yet missing OLED screen even though last generation iPhone X has OLED. Only 11 Pro (and Max) has OLED display.

The last generation of the iPhone 11 actually didn't have OLED either (iPhone XR).

Thats the point, though XR is around $200 less but still why LCD at least OLED if not XDR OLED like the Pro models which will make sense that its a premium difference not a basic difference.

I think the main reason is the China's 'big three' telecoms operators are too lazy to introduce eSIM, and Chinese are already used to dual physical sims for over a decade. Apple can earn more money on that.
