[Telus Mobility] 10GB/60 Telus Customers

More offers from Telus Mobility
For how annoyed most of us are for the 10 dollar increase with Telus's, it looks like they're giving us some options to continue with them.

"Telus retentions resulted in three options:

$70/15GB plan
$0 iPhone X on 2-year term with $95/10GB plan
Free migration to Koodo’s $60/10GB plan, with $35 connection fee waived."

I can't say how valid this offer is but my wife is currently checking it out. Will report back with more info.

Edit: other members confirming the free migration. Wife is in the process of migration right now.

Update: Was not able to get this. I suspect this is either YMMV or is fake altogether. At this point I'm super pissed with Telus and will be on the hunt for something else.

Wish I saw this before signing up yesterday for the $50/6GB plan! Telus retentions didn't offer me anything at all. Ymmv?

Free migration to Koodo
- Should consider doing referral just in case it works.

The article just came out 4 hours ago. I was holding out for something comparable or better as I don't need additional data.

They should also be able to give you visual voicemail and unlimited international texting on top of the 15gb. That's what I got for my wife and I. An even better deal IMO if you use a lot of data...

Weird that they can port to Koodo and offer the plan but not change the plan to begin with.

Must be some ARPU garbage
Koodo, Fido, Telus, Public Mobile, Virgin customer.

I agree as Koodo is deemed their budget brand.

I just chat with Telus, who then called me at home, connected me to retention and said the $60/10gb plan was available as a L&R, put a note on my account and suggested to go to Walmart to get the sim cards and connection fee would be waived. I'll report back later after I go to Walmart to do the port.

Any way we can do this for new activations using the promo code?

Can confirm this is being offered. Just got off chat with them.

After everything, would rather be with Koodo now anyways.

This not an offer from Telus, it's a bribe, and a sick one at that cause they Are making you, a customer, to pay for it. They are trying to minimize the negative response to the hike ahead of time, that they them selves promised that will never occur. They are not in the right here and are not in power, you are. Do not switch or agree to anything. Sit down for 5 minutes and file a complaint with CRTC and CCTS. I did previously with Rogers when they hiked my plan by $5 and they dealt with rogers and reverted the plan increase for me.

When did they ever say they wouldn’t increase the plan? Anytime you are on an off contract plan there is a risk of the price increasing, as there is nothing preventing them from doing so.
