This is pretty cool but unfortunately no motorcycles coverage

Eligible vehicles for roadside assistance services are: any non-commercial motor car, truck or van
with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding one ton cargo rating but shall not include any motorcycle,
snowmobile, farm tractor, farm or construction machine or any other vehicle not normally intended to be
driven on public roads or highways

A limit of "up to $75 per service incident"!!! Eww! Useless for anything more than a boost or a lockout!

I can tell you that in most places the tow truck hook-up fee is more than $75, let alone the charges per mile of towing.

For example, Richmond Hill’s new Tow Truck Licensing By-law specifies the following permissible towing fees:

collision scene tow $250.00
non-collision scene tow $125.00
winch fee $103.00
storage (indoor/outdoor) per day $60.00/55.00
wait time (collision reporting centre) $17.00/15 minutes ($68/hour)
rate per km in tow for first 30km $3.10/km; after first 30km $1.55/km

Costco sells or used to sell DAA membership. Lots of discussion here at RFD about them, esp when they massively jacked up membership cost.

DAA serves all of North America

They used to have a good plan with Coscto - ELITE Roadside -- but changed it

This plan gives u same features -- and at $ 6.50 a month + 1 month free = $ 6.50 @ 11 = $ 71.50 for the year .

ALso you can cancel anytime and its charged to your TELUS mobile invoice

sounds like a good deal. but because I drive an older car... better stick with CAA.
I guess if I had a newer car, I might get something like this for backup.

Does this include free roadside assistance for my phone? If I have a dead cell battery, will they come and get me a new one/give mine a boost? I mean, this offer is through Telus Mobility, surely this "roadside assistance" they're offering is for my phone right???? If they did, this offer would be great!

I asked DAA about this and they told me they have pre-negotiated rates/agreements with tow trucks/service providers. The $75 benefit limit includes hook-up fee and a decent towing distance (on avg. 16km). Definitely not 'useless' :D

They will provide roadside assistance in the Unites States as well, so shouldn't be a problem.
