Great device for a sweet price.

I just switched to Android, because Windows Phone doesn't play well with Mac. I miss Windows Phone however, it is the cleanest, most intuitive and straightforward Phone OS I've used. Out of about 5 or 6 I've used. There is almost no learning curve, no stupid glitches.

Shaolinmonk to use the nokia 625 on wind did you have to unlock the phone? If you unlocked it first, how much did you pay for the unlock because from my experience with nokia 520 and 620 the unlock is not cheap.

Nope that was the Lumia 620.

This is the 625 which has a better/ bigger display and a faster processor.

Still dual core, while lots of phones at this price are quad core already.

How's charging with these Lumia's? I had Windows phone before, which used to take forever to charge and discharge very fast.

Standard unlock price is $15 USD, I think. Not sure if that qualifies as "not cheap".

The 1700 band is required, I think.

I got my dad the Lumia 620. Pretty solid battery life and unlocking it was very straight forward. Easy enough for an old retired guy to do on his own :) I would expect the 625 to be similar.

Yeah careful with this argument, windows phone has a very efficient operating system and the specs of the phone are perfectly adequate to handle things you throw at it. It's also a Nokia so you can throw the phone at things too.

Depending on what app is installed. When it was in my hand, I can make it last say 3 days before charge(still can't beat my iphone) but my mom was complaining lately it drains within a day and not being used much at all(probably some apps someone help her installed).

From the HowardForums:
This is an error... 625 from telus have 1900 mhaz band for hspa and aws 1700 band for lte

Also, where are you guys planning/going to buy the unlock codes from? The only one that I could find so far are these guys for $24.99 (could possibly be in USD as well, which makes it closer to $30 CAD)

http://www.cellunlockcode.com/unlock-no ... 5620&id=10

Edit: These guys are $25 USD ... that seems pricy :/

Did she leave on the "location" setting (used for offline maps/GPS)?
