[Telus] Telus Black Friday Deals (BC/AB) - Including Gigabit Internet $89/month

Telus has their Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals posted now:

https://www.telus.com/en/deals-and-bund ... nday-deals

GIgabit Internet: $99/mn for 2 years with a $100 bill credit
TV & Internet Bundle: $150/mn with a $200 bill credit - Internet 150 Mbps Internet, Optik TV With 4 Theme packs + 1 Premium

Edit: Prices on the Black Friday page are misleading, they include a $10 credit for being a mobility customer.

Not sure how the TV deals compare, but internet seems pretty cold for a Black Friday sale. Only benefit is a $100 bill credit vs the usual $50 for signing up online. Previously it has been $85/mn:

telus-telus-gigabit-purefibre-internet- ... b-2385671/
telus-telus-purefibre-gigabit-unlimited ... r-2351627/
etc

Black Friday EPP deals here: telus-telus-epp-gigabit-home-internet-b ... s-2420363/

I would wait to see Shaw's. If shaw's better you can take that offer to telus. They would match it or offer you something better but you still have to be with them for 2 years.
I did that last year. I was with telus with contract ending in February. , I got 7 theme packs + 1 premium. , free rentals of equipment (which I already had the offer) Fiber (150) for $116 including all taxes + $300 credit. They waved the early termination fee. They also threw in unlimited data. I also somehow got no price increase for the first year.
A few months ago I changed one of my themes for Amazon prime.

telus
regular pricing same as website ($99 for 1G or $90 for 150m)
-$10 mobility discount
$200 credit or -$10 epp discount

shaw
it is $100 per month with $75 credit at the moment, but black friday might have sale for $65 for 300M with uncertain credit, better check back on Nov 27. [Edited for the latest info]

It's good to see Telus still offers something for COVID time, I am glad I took the BF deal + EPP discount last year and I am good until this time next year.

I would switch to Shaw as well. My student promo with Telus is expired and they are charging almost double now.

I'm guessing retention deal? Hard to compare that to an advertised deal.

I'm paying $135 for Gigabit + Pick 6 TV + Prime
I've seen lots better than that too.

EPP discount? I have friends at telus that they can only get the 40% Employee discount from the going rate. They can't get any other deals on top of their employee discount price. unless of course they don't use their Employee discount. I pay slightly less for my package than she does for landline, basic tv, and internet 15meg (yep 15meg)

I just re-signed a new 2 year deal with Telus a couple weeks back for Gigabit Internet + Optik TV 4+1 and an extra theme pack. $128/month with price guarantee for 2 years. More than I was paying before but the deals seem to have really dried up with COVID.

Was this a retention deal?
