Does your contract specify the EPP credit? Mine doesn't show and was told that it applies in my 2nd month of billing? Can you confirm?
terranaj98 wrote: ↑ Thanks @achohan91 for the deal.
I signed up and pushed my installation to 2021 when my shaw valueplan ends.
Shaw has not been very competitive and unwilling to provide any further loyalty/retention offer.
*** This involves EPP promotions ***
Currently I'm paying $42 for TV (grandfathered plan Pick 4) and $45 internet 300 2-yr term.
The offer:
Gigabit Internet MSRP $99 - $10 mobility - $85/mth - $10 EPP discount = $75/mth (from 2nd month)
Optik TV $65 - $10 EPP discount = $55/mth (from 2nd month)
$130 + taxes
$550 total credits is the clincher. (internet and TV)
$500 bill credit right away. // TV + Internet
$400 bill credit right away. // Internet only.
$50 gift card from store (after buyer's remorse) can be used on the account.
$130 + tax = $145.60 /mth for Gigabit 940/940 and Optik TV Essentials + 4 theme packs + 1 premium *locked in for 2 years
$550 credits / 24 months (2 years) = $22.92/mth discount (if you amortize the total credits out over the 2 year term)
$122.68 per month after credits and taxes. Currently I'm paying $97.44 with Shaw; however, credits fall off in early 2021.

Worse come to worst if no EPP discount or the extra $50 prepaid card, Telus gigabit internet at $85 with a $400 bill credit is still better then what shaw can offer with their so called "fibre"

The rep said they had to fill in a form and send it off to Telus for EPP discount. $10 on internet and $10 on TV.FlyOverMyDoodle wrote: ↑ Does your contract specify the EPP credit? Mine doesn't show and was told that it applies in my 2nd month of billing? Can you confirm?
$126/mth for essentials + 4 theme packs and 1 premium and gigabit internet (after $550 credit/gc over 24 months).
I think it will be $126 + tax = $141.12 - $22.92 = $118.20 after taxes and bill credit over 24 months.

No problem pushing the install date into next year? My shaw contract ends Jan 21 so I'm hoping I can set a telus install date somewhere mid Jan. Expecting a call from the Telus Rep today and am hoping that won't be a problem pushing the install date that far aheadterranaj98 wrote: ↑ Thanks @achohan91 for the deal.

In AB, was on Internet 300 with a student discount for 2 years or so. Student discount expired 2 months ago and was holding off for the Black Friday deal.
Called 1-888-811-2323 and told the rep about different current promotions and gave some of the plans that people are getting here for 1 Gigabit with credits. Transferred to Retentions/Loyalty department and rep gave me $75 per month with $100 credit for 24 months. Also mentioned Koodo's phone number and he put in the request for an additional $10 mobility discount. Mentioned I will get an email about changes.
Did not get the confirmation email. So called Retentions again and tried to get a better deal. Rep said he can't do better. But verified that I will get a $10 mobility discount after the request goes through. Also reduced my current bill by half upon asking.
So $75 - $10 Mobility discount + $100 credit = ~$61/mth for 1Gbit Internet in AB through Retentions.
