What is the resolution 720p?
Just ordered current standalone Internet sub...just the basic channels plus a few extra ones is not too shabby for ten bucks a month also streaming doesn’t count towards monthly data usage.

Has anyone opted to subscribe to the HBO add-on? I'm wondering if the on demand content is solely through the TMN GO mobile app or actually available within the PikTV app?

My understanding you need to have Telus Internet service in order to get Pix TV.shadowbreaker_z3 wrote: ↑ how does this work? is it like an ip service? what if the box is connected to a wifi that is non telus?

Not sure if this is allowed here- if not, delete it
Don’t waste your time with this. Get a fire stick or any other android box. Of if you have an android phone and chrome cast. Install terrarium tv for tv shows and movies. Livenettv for live channels. Enjoy!

Its basically IPTV through an app. Telus states it will only work through their internet service.shadowbreaker_z3 wrote: ↑ how does this work? is it like an ip service? what if the box is connected to a wifi that is non telus?
Android TV is a good OS if you're primarily an Android user (Google Play etc) and prefer a leanback/remote type of experience over casting. I can't speak to the quality of PikTV but less-than-legal BS is not a legit substitute for a legal paid service. At least Telus is trying something new.

Not entirely correct. PikTV is a stand alone service that you can get IF you have Internet 25 or more. Internet 25 is a pre-requisite, meaning you would need to sign up for 25 if you don't already have (usually getting $45/month for six months, then $76 thereafter), or if you already have it, you can add PikTv.
The "from $65/month" you see is stemming from the fact on the website it still shows PikTV as $20/month and it assumes you are also paying the promo price of $45/month for Internet 25 ($45+$20), hence the word "from".
Knowing that PikTV is actually $10/month, you would add that cost to whatever price you can get your Internet and speed for (as in if you're currently paying $76/month for Internet 25, your total cost per month with PikTv would be $76+$10 = $86/month)

Does anyone know if this offer is still live? If there are any Telus reps on here feel free to message me. I would be interested in signing up.
