[Telus] Telus wireless home phone email offer

Telus emailed me the $10 wireless home phone offer. They asking for 2 years contract with the Alcatel HH41NH hub included for free. I'm in Ontario. Any one else is getting such offer or they starting wireless home phones in Ontario for everyone.

What's the penalty to cancel this "contract"? With all the 3G airwave freed up from people not actually using their phones for calling anymore, the big 3 is allowing their network to make a measly $10 per month on voice services.... how about those rip-off minute plans on cellphones on the same airwaves?!

How much upfront?
Koodo charges $40 upfront then $5/mo for 12mos.

There is no penalty for cancelling the contract. You have to only pay for the device balance.
At the front they only charge $35 for the connection fee, so still better than Koodo.
They have world wide add ons , but I find them pricey and not worth it.

I imagine this is the hub like Koodo’s so monitored home alarms won’t work with this?

Koodo's device only works for phones. It looks like this device also has a data option with WiFi.

The $10 price is only for existing Telus customers with certain plans :(
