Tesla Model 3 SR and SR+ eligible for $5000 Federal incentive

Deal Link:
Tesla Model 3 Standard Range and Standard Range + are both now eligible for the Federal ZEV $5000 incentive program.

This federal incentive also stacks on top of your province’s incentive program

For example, in BC you would get $5000 (Federal) + $5000 (BC) incentives.

Model 3 Standard Range = $44,999 - $5000 - $5000 = $34,999!!!!

a lot of Model S owners who had their cars for years are still running strong with very little battery degradation

Is the Model 3 actually eligible? According to what Tesla has written it needs to be listed on the link they provided to Transport Canada's website and it isn't.

I don't see the car on Gov. of Canada website: http://www.tc.gc.ca/en/services/road/in ... ogram.html

Has it just not been updated yet?
It should be eligible. Gov of Canada’s site just hasn’t been updated yet.

Tesla lowered the Standard Range price from $47k to $44999 to qualify for the $5k federal incentive.

The Federal incentives starts today May 1st

I will be making phone calls and going to a Tesla store to place an order later today. Any questions, just leave them here and I’ll try to clarify them for everyone.

I recall the trade off being cheaper beer and gas.
I still pay the same for beer
I still paid $1.34 for gas yesterday

The Standard Range originally had a range of 220miles (354km)

It seems like Tesla has software limited the range down to 150km to try to persuade buyers to go for the Standard Range Plus.

Standard Range and Standard Range Plus both uses the same motor, drive unit, and battery. The Standard Range is just software locked to limit the range, top speed, and acceleration.

I got "$1 beer" once, the no name stuff and it's definitely not worth it.

Gas will be $2 before the summer at this rate, it's ridiculous.

Maybe because they didn't see it on the Tesla website. Tesla removed the base model from the website because it was vastly outselling the + model and wanted to push sales of the more expensive one. The cheaper model can still be bought but you must phone the company to order one. Chevy bolt for me I think.

I can't stand it when a company plays games like that. Not that I ever seriously considered getting one of these, but now I'm definitely out...
