i guess this is for those who want to show their friends they spent way too much on a coffee maker.
NO. Coffee does not all taste the same. You'll know good coffee when you can drink it black. I drink mine black. I have many different beans that I grind when I want a cup of coffee. I use a variety of methods including the pour over. The different methods of brewing will yield different tasting results. Try it, same beans in a french press, any automatic brewer, percolated, pour over (whether manual or automatic). If you really want to get down to it, go buy 8 different automatic brewers (as cheap as you want and as expensive as you want). They will all brew a different tasting cup.

The serial number I was able to modify it to include the YH after you have submitted the claim.

I think it's worth a shot since Marshalls is included in the list of dealers from the pulldown menu on the rebate form.
Did this end up working for you? I got an email saying action needed on my claim "Item or exact model number is not on invoice". So I took pics of the box and the bill together but got the same email again.

Thanks for replying! I'll update if I get another response.

After a few more days of making coffee I'm pretty happy with it. It's worth at least 80$ anyway.

I suggest you to call their rebate team at 18554151481. The lady over the phone walked me through step by step. She said the invoice number should be the store# on my receipt.

I got another email yesterday saying that they have cut the cheque and put it in the mail.

Thank you for the tip. Much appreciated. I called and was approved for the rebate on the machine that I bought from Marshalls last week in Calgary for $79.99.

FYI - before anyone asks I am sorry but I don't know if the store that I went to has any more machines. When I picked mine up from the store on 7337 Macleod Trail SE in Kingsland they had one left after I bought mine but that was a full week ago.

Sweet, just called and they fixed it in 2 seconds. Approved and cheque is on the way.

Thanks! 40$ for the coffee maker is a steal.

How is your machine? Besides it being hard to pour in water, I am not sure that the coffee is getting hot enough. There is also some weird issue with water. In the water meter, a ton of condensation collects- does this happen with yours? I have a Behmor here and while the difference in quality of coffee isn't that noticable, it is in temperature.

Still... this pour over was $40 and the Behmor is $180.

My sink is close enough to the machine to use my extending tap to fill it up. I tried pouring from the carafe but it was a bit of a pain. The water does form some condensate on the water level. Makes it a little tricky to read the water level. Coffee seems hot enough for me. I haven't measured the temperature though.

All in all I'm really enjoying the coffee it makes. Much better than other cheap drip machines.

I find that when I only fill the reservoir with 2 cups of water the machine goes into a constant loop of bloom and brew (rotates between the second and third light) and doesn't stop even though all the water has been brewed.

No, but the digital version has two settings for brew temperature.

Has anyone seen the coffee machine in a Markham or Richmond Hill Homesense or Marshalls? Which section should I be looking in?

At HomeSense I found it at the front of the store on a table with all other KitchenAid products.

I guess you just need to drink more coffee!

But seriously, that's weird. I'll have to try two cups today and see what happens.
