Ok - ya got me.... was wondering what a Lacoste Tower was?... thought it was something in response to the Kate Spade blanket deal. Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Tightly-closed Eyes
I can't afford to save that much!

I have been using Lacoste and ikea towels for a while, I had to say that i prefer ikea towels a lot more: much cheaper, low shedding and do not loss it’s soft texture after long use. Lacoste towels were a pain for the first few times crazy amount of shedding. But I have to say that Lacoste shower mat was very comfortable even after 2 years.

Got one Lacoste towel last year and really like it. Much better than all the Costco towels I tried. Not pillowy soft and plush, however it dries very well.

What towels do hotels use?

I find them very absorbent and doesn't leave water dropplets on your skin or on the towel. Towels that after one whip, feels wet are the worst.

I have a few lacoste towels and the are nice when new but often don't last in wash cycles, a few I had to throw away.
The Devil made me buy it - RFD.

These things suck. They thin out over time. I won't buy the bath towels, maybe just hand towels for the powder room.

So from this thread, it seems like there are mixed reviews? Been looking for new towels for myself, any other recommendations?

I personally like Lacoste for hand towels. They look nice, the colors don't fade, and they dry quick. I'd say they are more of a beach-style towel that isn't soft, but is meant to dry quick and look good. That said, I use Hotel Collection for bath towels. They are the softest and most plush I came across at the Bay a while ago.
