[The Bay] One day sale - up to 40% Off Men’s Watches (G-Shock, Seiko, etc)

I'm assuming these are hot - see G-Shock threads regularly on RFD recently.

Actual G-Shock experts can verify, lol.

The Skeleton/Transparent pack from March 2021 thread below are included in today's sale.

Any other codes that would bring the price down (looks like HBVIP brought down sale prices back in March). 3 camels show that the lowest price for one of Seiko 5Kx's I have been eyeing was $225 on Amazon during last November's black friday sale. Same one is currently $270 on the Bay website. 4% additional CB on GCR.

Made this post for a watch Facebook group, thought you guys might enjoy it here:

So I will preface this with the fact of I thought I was going to post all my favorite watch deals but there are too many! So after look at around 1400 watches these are the 5 I'd actually consider buying.

1. Seiko Presage Automatic on Strap (also available on bracelet for more): $297 https://www.thebay.com/product/seiko-pr ... color=BLUE

2. Swatch Bioceramic in Grey $115. A cool new material that would be fun to see and play with. Has caught my attention for a while: https://www.thebay.com/product/swatch-u ... color=GREY

what's there to explain? they're bold, often chunky, highly durable and (mostly) affordable. As a G collector I love the wide variety of materials and colours they put out in each release.

I mean sure if that's your cup of tea. But I see little kids wearing them in an office setting or watch collectors talking about them like they're grail watches. I wore g-shocks for years and don't get why people would actually choose to have a clunky slab of plastic on their wrist. 🤷‍♂️

You wore them for years but don't see why anyone would choose to wear them? Maybe take a look at yourself more closely.

Utility vs fashion. Fashion was the question. The desk jockey down the hall from me isn't going to be dropped feet first into hell so what does he need the shock protection for?

Maybe, just maybe...fashion is subjective? Maybe...people have different values than you? For someone who keeps talking down about other people "little kids" "desk jockey down the hall", you sound extremely childish.

Fashion is entirely subjective, and like I said it's fine if it's your cup of tea. I'm talking about the weird enthusiasm for them among watch collectors. People who collect Rolexes. Also, not sure why calling people little kids is childish, I'm an old fart. And we're all desk jockeys at my work, I'm just the babysitter. 🥴
