Metrotown / Burnaby …

[The Bay] This is YMMV: The Bay sent email to HBC rewards members: $10 FREE in Rewards points - must used by Sunday EOD.

Received this last night into my google account for spam and such:

Essentially $10 in free HBC Rewards points to use by Sunday, otherwise will expire.
No minimums that I can see from the Terms.

This however is very much YMMV: i.e. need to have HBC rewards account in the first place, and who knows how The Bay determines who qualifies, or potentially the values they deposit might even vary from customer to customer. Either way it's "free" money. (I will go by the store and get something for $10 :)

Subject of the email message (you can search for): "Claim your $10 in Rewards points White Right Pointing Backhand Index"

Main body is an image (attached below) which reads :
Exclusive for you. $10 in points. We placed $10 in Hudson's Bay Rewards points (2000 points in your account to redeem towards your next purchase * Redeem by 6/26 before the points are gone

This is in the T&C at the bottom:

* Promotion runs Friday, June 24, 2022 at 12:00:01AM ET until Sunday, June 26, 2022 at11:59:59PM ET. The 2,000 Hudson's Bay Rewards bonus points applied to your account for this offer will expire if not redeemed by Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM ET. Points cannot be redeemed for The Bay e-gift cards. If you do not redeem these bonus points, your original Hudson's Bay Rewards points balance will remain unchanged. The terms and conditions of the Hudson's Bay Rewards Program apply to this offer. Visit thebay.com/rewards for more information. The Bay reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at anytime.

I saw the promo, and the points are in my account.

Can it be used in-store? Thought only on-line as there isn’t much that you can buy without paying shipping costs on the website.

Ok, just went to the Bay (in-store) and bought an item for $10.99. The redemption worked. Net cost to me after tax was $2.18.

Lots of items in the kitchenware/food department to choose items that are $10 or less.

Edit: figured it out. There’s a pin apparently I created in my hbc rewards account.

What is the “rewards pin” you need to add at checkout?!

If I already have points in my account, does it automatically redeem the 2000 points from this promo first since it expires tmr. I don't want to have to use my entire balance to clear the 2000

Login into your Bay account, then go to HB Rewards, it says I received "Limited Time +2000 Point Bonus"

Can you exchange them for a Bay gift card, as is the case with regular points?

It says right here on the op description after the bold sentence
Points cannot be redeemed for The Bay e-gift cards. If you do not redeem these bonus points, your original Hudson's Bay Rewards points balance will remain unchanged.

The points can be exchanged for a $10 physical gift card if you are at a store, just can’t redeem for a e-gift card online

Do you have to redeem all of your points to use the $10 bonus?

I have over $40 but no need to spend them all ATM.

If you call the rewards number and link your account, you’ll get an extra 2000 points. I ended up with an extra 4000 so 6000 free points in total.
