This knife set just dropped down to $201.49, it seems to have been $300 on sale on Zwilling's website, but is OOS.

The recent set at Cabelas for $200 was Four Star (not Four Star II) and had slightly different knives. TWIN Four Star II enhances ZWILLING J.A. Henckels' top-selling knife series worldwide, FOUR STAR, with a stainless steel end cap. This logo-stamped end cap optimizes the balance provided by the bolster, resulting in safety, ergonomics and comfort. Made in Germany.

This is actually an amazing price for this set... Too bad I have a bunch of global knives.. Otherwise I would buy this set. Too many knives at home already

Global knives are a lot sharper.. In my opinion.. But they are Japanese knives, maybe not as solid as Germany steels

Utility Knife 6" / 160 mm,
Chef's Knife 8" / 200 mm,
Bread Knife 8" / 200 mm,
Sharpening Steel,
Knife Block Charcoal

Does anyone have experience trying to sharpen these knives since the blade since there's a bolster at the end all the way down to the blade?

I sharpen my knives with whetstones and I have a 6" Henckels knife with a stopper. It's a little bit of a pain to get good contact to the bottom of the blade but it's not impossible.

Ok found the post from someone else's experience I guess having sharped past the thumb stop and gets in the way of cutting as it will hit the cutting board.

In true RFD fashion, I bought first and am thinking later.
Not sure I am going to keep this set though it does have everything I needed aside from the knife block.

Deciding today to return or not.
