I’ve bought a few refurb laptops from the source over the past year. (Like 10)

I’d say about half of them came defective. Battery issues, screen issues, clicking hard drives, and other random problems.

They do have a good return policy on the refurb/open box items though

Makes an ok Chromebook. Throw Chrome OS Flex on there.

Do I care?
Downside is not able to run play store Apps. I do use Chrome OS Flex already.

Looks like a good kid school PC. My kid is doing just fine on a 8 year old X1 Carbon with a 3667u in it.

Folks know if the RAM is upgradeable?
Should have a SO-DIMM slot for upgrade

This computer doesn't have a scanner built in Upside-down Face

..

Should be fine for those purposes but at this price I'd buy a Dell refurb. Lower spec but much higher build quality and will last yeaaars.

Most chromebooks are garbage. This is Windows 10.

This is a laptop with a capable i3 10th generation CPU and reasonable upgradeable RAM.

The rated max is 12GB but I've never encountered an unbuffered DDR4 SODIMM slot that couldn't accept a 32GB stick.

Stay grateful, gents.

It’s a decent deal for sure but out of my budget at this time

Passmark is 5100, very comfortable for a laptop, which isn't surprising in a 10th gen i3.

If I didn't have a B2B pipeline, and were Joe consumer, I would buy this laptop as a good all around machine.

Enough RAM.

Enough SSD capacity.

A fine machine.

720p at 15.6" is fine, you get used to it, especially if you're no longer the hyper-focused obsessive 25 year old you once were (I'm staring at a mirror right now).

Stay grateful, gents.

I bought one and came back here to post it. You beat me to it.

Don't forget Rakuten (only 2% and it never works for me).

I also signed up for thesource.ca marketing email to qualify for $10 coupon. Only to find out that the coupon doesn't apply.

Both seem to be bilingual keyboards is that correct? Are they the normal or annoying layout?
