Notifications include a video of the event that triggered the motion detector. But with rtsp streaming, it is 24/7/365. I have it going to my Asustor NAS. I was hoping to have the NAS generate motion detected events but it seems it only works if the camera generates the event (I guess it requires ONVIF support). It's surveillance application allows for motion detection search but it is slow (only goes through the video in real time so if you wish to search for anything between 2 and 3 am, it will take an hour for the result)...crustydragon wrote: ↑I have the Eufy but haven't opened it yet, looking at this one because of the RTSP support which apparently isn't available on the Eufy yet.
Does the EZVIZ record 24/7 or just on motion trigger?
Thanks!

Thank you. How do you find the lag from motion detection / door bell ring to you seeing who's at the front door? My existing skybell is horrendous and support basically blames my WIFI without proof and I know it's not the wifi.

I attempted to install this only to find out my electrical panel wasn't even labeled (facepalm).
Looked up couple of installation videos and this seems ok to install but I gotta figure out my door bell panel ( light is already burnt) but the chime works from my old bell

How far is doorbell from ur router? I couldn't connect to 5ghz...not sure if it was my error or the doorbells lack of range/reception
My door bell is like 15 ft away from router only

Just bought a door bell transformer from Homedepot. I notice all 3 wires are aluminium. Is it save to connect these wires to my electrical panel, which is all copper wires? Anyone tried it?

Are you sure it's aluminum and not just "plated"/tinned (nickel plated if RoSH compliant) to protect from oxydation? Is it copper colored on the cut end or when you scrap it with a knife?

If it's really aluminum, you need the purple wire nuts
Edit: I plan on buying this one https://www.homedepot.ca/product/heath- ... 1001539404
Looks like the ends are even pretinned with solder

Why does the resolution go down to 800x600 or 768x1024 from 1536x2018, when a person comes close to the ring sensor when using Synology RTSP with surveillance station if i have all settings set to high quality? I can't figure this out

I have lost track. Have you installed the doorbell or still playing around with it?

I had the same issue at the beginning of my setup process, but talked to an agent and was suggested to turn off my cellphone data while connecting the doorbell and my wifi network. The doorbell connected right away after the cellular data was turned off. Give it a try and hope it helps.

That's exactly what I bought. The wires look silvery and the ends are soldered. I thought they are aluminium. They are too thin to really tell after scraping them. But I think my conern is groundless nowadays.Daijoubu wrote: ↑ Are you sure it's aluminum and not just "plated"/tinned (nickel plated if RoSH compliant) to protect from oxydation?
